About
Walk With Me is a small 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in April, 2018. The projects are designed to awaken people to their creative potential and to promote reflection, civic engagement, and peace.
We’re not exactly sure how we got here. In the beginning, we were just doing work we hoped people would find interesting. That we found it interesting was sufficiently energizing.
We soon learned that when you ask people what they think about (fill in the blank), and you really listen, without judgment, they respond. They also feel seen. And then, all kinds of cool stuff happens: self-worth, creativity, empowerment, and gratitude make an appearance. All things that society could use more of. We thought, ‘let’s keep doing it’! So, after years of mostly developing for-profit content, we decided to put the emphasis here.
It’s hard to express what it means to have someone tell you their story. It’s always interesting, often emotional, sometimes hilarious. Mostly, it feels like a gift - to us, for them, and to the broader community. If there is one thing we have learned in the many years of doing this work, it is that. And THAT is pretty special.
